Landing from music, photography, and filmmaking, London-based video director Bosco Shane delivers her first short film, Diamond, entirely created by AI. A surrealistic Film Noir set in a less romantic Eastern European brutalist environment.

AND A THIEF Bosco Shane presents her first short film Diamond, entirely made with AI
The title almost sounds like a Peter Greenaway film; however, Bosco Shane is far from joking. She asks the ultimate, bold question:
What is priceless in our lives?
What is value?
Who claims ownership?
The director plays lavishly with aesthetics in her film. Diamond, shot in black & white, is heavily influenced by her childhood in Hungary and set in a less romantic Eastern European urban housing estate, brutalist architecture, film noir, and surrealism.

No one else could have brought these visuals together better than Bosco Shane.
Her work explores emotion, longing, belonging, loss and memory through stark visual compositions and philosophical undertones. The AI technology she mastered plays like a brush in her hands. She has full control of creating the mood, the inner tension, the psychological landscape, the actors and their characteristics, with understated humour.
Having worked in music, composing the music and soundscapes of the film is part of her process, which blends seamlessly with the images.

The story is based on a dream-like yet very realistic environment, starring nothing less than a proud rooster, filmed inside a brutalist museum after hours, on a cold, foggy night. Three teenagers attempt a high-risk heist; however, the film reframes theft not as crime, but as confrontation — a collision between forced, institutional values and personal beliefs.
The heist is not about possession, but about recognition. As walls sometimes protect what is deemed “priceless,” the film explores how value is constructed, who claims ownership, and how it can reshape possession. In the dark, values become unstable, and borders get blurry.

Is the question really destabilising, or could it mean that a simple act of deciding what really matters and makes a change?
Who protects value, and most importantly, who dares to take the initiative to defend it?
Who is proactive nowadays?
In this very unfavourable time, our current life that is filled with endless brutal, violent acts, uneducated people, and dictators, who would stand up for human values?
Bosco Shane does not give you the answer directly but encourages you to find it yourself. With Diamond, Bosco Shane proves to be one of the most promising AI directors of the moment, a diamond of AI filmmaking.

Only a few weeks after its release in London, Diamond was selected for the RAIF-ROME AI Festival in Italy and the ATHENS International Art Film Festival, setting a remarkably high standard for the future of storytelling.
And that is only the beginning.
